Minister Ponnam Prabhakar Reviews Road Safety Measures at Black Spots in Hyderabad
During the National Road Safety Month, Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar visited SR Nagar to assess black spots where frequent road accidents occur. The minister held discussions with police, traffic, and transport department officials to understand the causes of these accidents.
To improve road safety, the minister suggested installing digital boards at accident-prone areas and marking zebra crossings more clearly. He emphasized identifying black spots across the state and taking action to reduce road accidents to zero.
The Minister also urged all departments to organize events for National Road Safety Month, which runs from January 1 to 31. He highlighted measures being taken to control traffic and reduce congestion in Hyderabad. District Collector Anudeep Durashhetti and other senior officials attended the event.
