TPN , New Delhi: The nation bids a solemn farewell to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, whose funeral will be held today with full state honors near Rajghat. His mortal remains will be taken to the AICC headquarters at 8:30 am for public viewing, allowing people and party workers to pay their final respects until 9:30 am. Following this, the funeral procession will proceed from the central office, culminating in the last rites.
The Union Cabinet has condoled Dr. Singh’s demise, with ministers observing a two-minute silence as a mark of respect. The Centre has declared seven days of national mourning, during which the national flag will be flown at half-mast until January 1. The Union Home Ministry has instructed Chief Secretaries of all states to refrain from holding government functions and celebrations during the mourning period.
