We Have Lost the Architect of Modern India: Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka

TPN , Telangana : Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu expressed profound grief over the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, calling him the "architect of modern India." In his tribute, he highlighted Singh’s critical role in rescuing the country from economic crises and shaping modern India through his visionary leadership.

"Manmohan Singh showed through his conduct how to maintain respect and decorum in political and public life, without room for controversy or criticism," Bhatti said. He praised Singh as a great economist, reformist, humanitarian, and leader who significantly contributed to India's economic, social, and cultural growth.

The Deputy CM credited the Congress party for recognizing Singh's capabilities and appointing him to key positions, including Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Finance Minister, and ultimately Prime Minister. He acknowledged Singh’s long-term contributions to India’s progress, particularly during the liberalization era, and his role in landmark initiatives such as the National Employment Guarantee Scheme, Right to Information Act, Food Security Act, and Aadhaar design.

Bhatti emphasized that Singh’s ideas and work had enriched the nation in various sectors and expressed that his death is an immense loss to the country and the Congress party.
