Court Grants Relief to KTR
Interim Bail Extended for KTR
ACB Seeks Arrest Order Reversal
Court Hearing Scheduled for December 31
TPN , Telangana : The Telangana High Court has issued crucial orders in the Formula E-car race case involving BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR). During a hearing on Friday, the court extended the interim bail granted to KTR until December 31, providing temporary relief.
KTR had filed a quash petition on December 21, challenging the allegations against him in the case. In an earlier order, the court had directed the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) not to arrest him until December 30. The hearing was subsequently adjourned to December 27, and after today’s session, the court extended the non-arrest order until the end of the month.
ACB Files Counter
In a significant move, the ACB filed a counter in the High Court, requesting the withdrawal of the no-arrest directive. The agency argued that KTR’s investigation is crucial for progressing in the case. ACB officials expressed concerns that granting him bail or any relief at this stage could hinder the investigation.
The court acknowledged the ACB’s counter-petition and has scheduled its hearing for December 31. Until then, the no-arrest order remains in effect.
The Formula E-car race case has drawn considerable attention, with the ACB alleging irregularities and seeking a thorough probe. KTR’s petition to quash the case and the ACB’s insistence on his interrogation will now be reviewed further in the upcoming hearings.
