TPN , Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has dismissed multiple petitions filed by candidates concerning the Group-1 examination conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC). The candidates approached the court, raising issues regarding reservations and requesting a stay on the declaration of results until the matter was resolved.

The petitioners urged the court to issue orders to halt the announcement of the results, citing the need for clarity on reservation policies. However, after hearing the arguments, the court dismissed the petitions, allowing TGPSC to proceed with the results.

The Group-1 Mains examinations were conducted from October 21 to 27, 2024. TGPSC Chairman Burra Venkatesham recently stated that the results are expected to be announced by March 2025.

This decision by the High Court clears the way for TGPSC to finalize and release the Group-1 results as scheduled, bringing relief to the commission and candidates awaiting the outcome. However, it has also sparked discussions on the clarity and implementation of reservation policies in competitive examinations.

Candidates and stakeholders will now focus on the forthcoming announcement of results, which will shape the future of many aspirants.
