KIMS Hospital Releases Health Bulletin on Young Boy Sritej, Condition Stable
Hyderabad, Dec 21: KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad has released an updated health bulletin on 9-year-old Sritej, who was critically injured during a stampede at Sandhya Theatre in RTC Cross Roads on December 4. The hospital confirmed that Sritej’s condition is currently stable, providing a glimmer of hope for his recovery.
According to the latest statement from the hospital, Sritej has been successfully taken off ventilator support and is now breathing independently. While the young boy continues to experience occasional fever, his overall condition has improved compared to the previous day.
The tragic incident occurred during the premiere of the film Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre, where a large crowd gathered to see actor Allu Arjun. As the actor arrived, a massive stampede broke out, resulting in the tragic death of Revathi, Sritej’s mother, and leaving the young boy severely injured. In earlier reports, Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand had confirmed that Sritej sustained brain damage as a result of the chaos.
KIMS Hospital has reassured the public that Sritej is receiving the best possible care and that the medical team is closely monitoring his condition. Despite the initial severity of his injuries, the improvement in his health offers hope for his continued recovery.
The stampede at Sandhya Theatre has raised serious concerns about crowd management during high-profile events, particularly in confined spaces. The incident has prompted local authorities to review safety protocols and ensure better measures for crowd control during public gatherings.
