BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha staged a unique protest on Tuesday, criticizing the Congress government for failing to fulfill its election promise of providing free scooties to girl students. Speaking to the media later, Kavitha reminded that Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi had assured free scooties for girls during the Telangana Assembly election campaign. She expressed anger that even after 15 months in power, the Congress government has not taken any steps toward fulfilling this promise.
Accusing Congress of betraying people from all sections of society, she said the delay has now extended to girl students as well. Kavitha also revealed that students are writing postcards to Priyanka Gandhi, demanding the promised scooties. She urged the government to act immediately and provide the two-wheelers without further delay.
