Cyber Frauds Surge in AP, ₹633 Crore Looted in 8 Months
Over 35,000 complaints received on the 1930 toll-free helpline

Cyber fraud cases in Andhra Pradesh have witnessed an alarming rise, with criminals looting a staggering ₹633 crore in just eight months. According to official reports, over 35,000 complaints have been registered since July last year through the cybercrime toll-free number 1930.
On average, cyber fraudsters have been swindling ₹2.56 crore per day through various online scams. While authorities have managed to recover ₹1.46 crore from fraudulent transactions, ₹65.59 crore has been suspended in bank accounts to prevent further losses.
Officials continue to urge citizens to remain vigilant against online scams, refrain from sharing personal details, and report cybercrimes immediately to the 1930 helpline.
