AP High Court grants relief to Ram Gopal Varma
CID notices over inappropriate posts against Chandrababu, Pawan, Lokesh
High Court orders not to take hasty action against Verma
Further hearing postponed
Cinema director Ram Gopal Varma has received relief from the AP High Court following notices issued by the AP CID police. The notices were related to alleged inappropriate comments made by Verma on social media against AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Nara Lokesh, including the circulation of morphed photos.
Challenging the notices in the High Court, Verma sought intervention against the actions initiated by the CID. The court, after hearing Verma’s petition, directed the CID not to proceed with any hasty measures against him. The bench emphasized the need for careful consideration before taking further steps in the case.
The High Court's decision offers temporary relief to Verma, but the matter remains unresolved as the further hearing has been postponed.
