Illegal Soil Excavation Rampant in Bantumilli, Villagers Allege Officials' Inaction
Unregulated soil transportation in Basinapadu, Munjulur, and Manimeswaram
Allegations of traders influencing officials and politicians
Tehsildar assures action, says no permissions granted
Villagers of Basinapadu, Munjulur, and Manimeswaram in Bantumilli mandal, Krishna District, have alleged that hundreds of tippers and tractors are illegally transporting soil without any intervention from the concerned authorities. They claim that despite witnessing large-scale excavation, officials have turned a blind eye to the issue.
According to locals, some soil traders, with alleged backing from officials and politicians, continue their business without fear of repercussions. Strong allegations have surfaced that these traders operate with confidence, believing no authority can curb their illegal activities.
When questioned, Bantumilli In-charge Tehsildar Kagita Poornachandra Rao clarified that no permissions have been granted for such soil excavation in the mandal. He assured that staff will be deployed to investigate and appropriate action will be taken against illegal operations.
