Andhra Pradesh is experiencing scorching temperatures, with the mercury soaring above 42 degrees Celsius in several areas. Yesterday, over 40 degrees Celsius was recorded in 105 places across the state, reflecting the intense heat conditions prevailing.
According to Disaster Management Department MD Kurmanath, extreme heatwaves are expected in 83 mandals today, while heatwave conditions may prevail in 208 mandals. The department is actively sending alert messages to people's mobile phones using advanced technology to ensure widespread awareness.
Authorities have advised people to avoid sun exposure as much as possible. Those who must venture outside are encouraged to take adequate precautions, such as consuming water, lemon juice, buttermilk, glucose, coconut water, and ORS to stay hydrated.
