IMD Hyderabad forecasts temperatures may reach 44°C in Telangana
Hyderabad likely to witness maximum temperatures of 40°C till month-end
Orange alert issued for 15 districts due to intense heat
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has forecasted that temperatures in Telangana may reach up to 44 degrees Celsius. Hyderabad itself is likely to witness maximum temperatures around 40 degrees Celsius till the end of the current month.
According to IMD, 15 districts in the state are expected to experience intense heat, with temperatures touching 44 degrees Celsius. These districts include Adilabad, Kothagudem, Jagitial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jogulamba Gadwal, Khammam, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Mulugu, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, and Wanaparthy.
An orange alert has been issued for these districts due to the anticipated severe heat. Yesterday, Adilabad recorded the highest temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, while Nalgonda, Jagtial, Mancherial, and Jogulamba Gadwal recorded 40.9 degrees Celsius. Hyderabad recorded a temperature of 39.7 degrees Celsius.
The IMD has advised people to take necessary precautions as temperatures are likely to soar further in the coming days.
