Andhra Pradesh Alert: Disability Pension Verification Starts Today
An important alert has been issued for the people of Andhra Pradesh. From today, the verification of disability pensions will take place across the state. During this process, officials will check the eligibility of pension recipients, ensuring that ineligible individuals are not receiving benefits. Medical teams will visit the homes of pensioners who are receiving up to ₹15,000 in pension but are confined to their beds.
For those receiving ₹6,000 per month, verification will be conducted at nearby government hospitals. If the pension recipients are not present when the verification teams visit their homes or if they are unavailable, their pensions will be put on hold.
In line with this initiative, the district collector of Palnadu, Arun Babu, has issued orders for teams of doctors to be formed starting from Monday to carry out the verification. Under the supervision of District Rural Development Scheme Director Balu Nayak, District Medical Officer Ravi, and District Coordinator Hospital Services Rangarao, five teams of doctors have been assigned to visit all mandals in the district for pension verification.
