AP Congress Chief Y.S. Sharmila Condemns BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri's Remarks on Priyanka Gandhi

Y.S. Sharmila, the President of Andhra Pradesh Congress, has strongly criticized BJP's former MP Ramesh Bidhuri over his inappropriate comments about Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Sharmila condemned Bidhuri's remarks made during a recent event where he claimed that if he were to win the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, he would build roads like "cheeks of Priyanka Gandhi."

Sharmila expressed deep sorrow over the sexist and derogatory nature of the statement, calling it a clear example of disrespect towards women, which reflects the BJP's mindset, actions, and culture. She described the comments as toxic and deserving of severe punishment.

Accusing the BJP of using personal attacks on leaders like Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to divert attention from its own failures and misdeeds, Sharmila further criticized the BJP for targeting not just Priyanka Gandhi but also disrespecting iconic leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. She expressed her disgust over the BJP’s repeated attacks on such prominent figures.

Meanwhile, Ramesh Bidhuri is contesting the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections as a BJP candidate from the Kalkaji segment, where he will be facing competition from AAP’s Atishi.
