Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with the Animal Warriors Conservation Society (AWCS), organised a free eco-friendly Ganesha idol-making workshop for children in Nallagandla on Saturday.
The hands-on workshop was held at Ashoka Vanam Rock Garden from 10 am to 12 noon and was open to children aged between 6 and 16 years. The initiative aimed to encourage creativity, environmental awareness and sustainable celebrations during the Ganesh festival.
Participants were given an opportunity to create their own Ganesha idols using natural and eco-friendly materials. All the required materials were provided free of cost, allowing children to learn about environmentally responsible alternatives to traditional idols.
The organisers said the workshop was designed to promote sustainable festive practices among young participants. Registrations were limited, and interested participants were asked to register in advance.
