The Telangana government has shifted the venue for the state-level Teachers’ Day celebrations from Hyderabad to Kodangal, marking the first time the prestigious event will be held outside the state capital.
The celebrations were initially planned at Bal Bhavan in the Public Gardens area of Hyderabad. However, the government later decided to organise the event in Kodangal. The move makes this year’s programme significant, as state-level Teachers’ Day celebrations have traditionally been held in Hyderabad.
A total of 123 outstanding teachers and lecturers will be honoured with the Best Teacher Awards during the celebrations. The awards recognise their contribution and dedication to the education sector and their efforts in shaping the future of students.
The decision to hold the event in Kodangal is expected to bring special attention to the region and highlight the importance of decentralising major state-level programmes.
