Delhi, Jan 17 : Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has launched a scathing attack on former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing them of corruption and misgovernance. Speaking at a press conference in Delhi, CM Revanth Reddy alleged that KCR looted Telangana’s resources, while Modi and Kejriwal failed to ensure meaningful progress in Delhi.
During his visit to Delhi on Thursday, CM Revanth Reddy released the Congress party’s guarantee posters for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. The event was attended by Delhi PCC President Devendra Yadav, Telangana Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, and Congress MPs Mallu Ravi, Raghuveer Reddy, Suresh Shetkar, Shabbir Ali, and Sampath, along with several Delhi Congress leaders.
Addressing the media, CM Revanth Reddy asserted that the Congress government in Telangana is successfully implementing its electoral guarantees. He emphasized that eliminating corruption allows funds to be redirected toward welfare initiatives, citing Telangana’s governance model as an example. He also accused KCR of misappropriating state resources and promised to disclose details of investment deals secured at the Davos summit upon his return.
Taking aim at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), CM Revanth Reddy claimed that Kejriwal’s political alliance with the BRS (formerly TRS) was rejected by Telangana’s electorate. He vowed to ensure a similar outcome for Kejriwal in Delhi. Additionally, he credited Sonia Gandhi for the creation of Telangana, highlighting her commitment despite political setbacks.
Criticizing governance failures in Delhi, CM Revanth Reddy stated that the capital flourished under former Congress CM Sheila Dikshit but has since deteriorated under Kejriwal and Modi. He accused them of making Delhi unsafe and unlivable due to administrative negligence, worsening air pollution, and increasing political instability.
Urging Delhi voters to support Congress, CM Revanth Reddy assured them that, if elected, the party would implement its promises just as it has done in Telangana. He concluded by asserting that Congress remains the only viable alternative for real development in Delhi.
