ACB Raids Greenko Offices Following Court Ruling in Formula E Case

In a dramatic turn of events, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) intensified its action against the Greenko Group offices, just after the Telangana High Court rejected the quash petition filed by BRS Working President and former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR). KTR had sought to annul the cases filed by the ACB in connection with the Formula E car racing event.

Following the court's decision, ACB officials conducted surprise raids across multiple locations linked to Greenko. The raids took place simultaneously at the company's offices in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Machilipatnam, where officials are reportedly examining records and documents.

In particular, searches are underway at offices in Aes Next Gen and Aes Urban Race in Madhapur, and Aes Urban Developers in Machilipatnam. ACB officials have stated that after completing their raids, they plan to summon KTR for questioning on January 9, based on the evidence gathered during the operations. The Telangana government recently accused that there was a quid pro quo involved in the Formula E racing event, which has brought additional attention to the matter.
