Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will meet leaders of employee and teacher unions on Saturday to discuss long-pending demands, including the constitution of the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) and clearance of pending dues.

The meeting at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office will include representatives of employee and teacher associations affiliated with the Joint Staff Council. Discussions are expected to focus on the appointment of the PRC, pending PRC-related payments and Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears.

Officials are also likely to brief the Chief Minister on the financial implications of the pending commitments and measures needed for implementation.

Meanwhile, AP JAC Amaravati welcomed the government’s decision to hold talks, calling it the first victory of its agitation. The organisation said its planned “Demands Day” protests would continue at district collectorates and RDO offices.

The unions are seeking interim relief, release of DA arrears, additional pension restoration, welfare measures for outsourcing employees and resolution of other pending issues.
