Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national working president and Education Minister N. Lokesh has stressed the importance of door-to-door campaigning for the party’s political success.
The remarks came during a two-day TDP Leadership Conclave held at the party headquarters in Mangalagiri on Monday. Chief Minister and TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu, ministers, politburo members and other party leaders attended the programme.
The conclave discussed 10 key issues, including coordination between the government and party, efficient use of resources, preparations for local body elections, the impact of El Niño and public feedback on welfare and development programmes.
Lokesh said leaders who regularly interact with people through door-to-door campaigns would have better opportunities for political success. Such engagement would also help strengthen relationships with the public, particularly the younger generation.
He also called for recognition of grassroots leaders working to strengthen the party.
