UAE Grants Amnesty, 500 Indian Prisoners Released

UAE announces amnesty for 1,518 prisoners, including 500 Indians

Decision made in honor of Ramadan and Eid celebrations

Families of released Indians express joy over their return

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has granted amnesty to prisoners across the country in honor of the holy month of Ramadan. UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Javed Al Nahyan ordered the release of 1,295 prisoners and granted amnesty to 1,518 others, including over 500 Indian nationals.

This decision, announced in late February, comes as the country prepares for Eid celebrations. The UAE government’s move is aimed at giving prisoners a second chance at life during this sacred period. Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum played a key role in implementing the amnesty.

For the families of the 500 Indian prisoners set to be released, the news has brought immense relief and happiness. With this decision, these individuals will now have the opportunity to reunite with their loved ones and celebrate Eid together.
