Central Govt Responds to 400 Acres of Land in Kancha Gachibowli
Center to proceed considering court verdicts
Immediate action directed under forest laws
Report on details and actions to be submitted
The Central Government has responded to the ongoing land dispute involving 400 acres in the Kancha Gachibowli area of Hyderabad, which has sparked protests from Hyderabad Central University (HCU) students, student unions, and opposition party leaders. BJP MPs have also raised the issue in both houses of Parliament.
Following the intensifying protests, the Center has instructed the Telangana Forest Department to prepare an actual report on the Kancha Gachibowli lands. The directive was issued by the Central Forest and Environment Department to the state government.
The Central Government emphasized the need to proceed in line with court verdicts and mandated that actions be taken according to existing forest laws. The Center also insisted that the report detailing the actual status of the land and steps taken so far be submitted promptly.
