No Need for Panic Over HMPV Virus – CM Chandrababu
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has reassured the public that there is no need for concern regarding the HMPV virus. He stated that the state government is alert and taking all necessary precautionary measures. CM Chandrababu chaired a review meeting with the health department, where he provided directions on how to handle the HMPV virus situation.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government is closely monitoring the virus, which was recently reported in Bengaluru and Gujarat. He advised the public to wear masks in public places and also reviewed the availability of medicines required for treatment.
According to CM Chandrababu, HMPV (Human Metapneumovirus) is a mild seasonal illness and there is no need to panic. Since its emergence in 2001, the virus has been prevalent but with very few fatalities. He reassured the public that there is no reason to be alarmed about the virus.
