Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is positive about resolving the long-pending Amaravati Journalists Housing Scheme. The minister said he would immediately discuss the issue with the CRDA Commissioner and the Principal Secretary of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department.
Representatives of the Amaravati Journalists Housing Society met Narayana at his camp office in Vijayawada on Wednesday and explained the pending issues related to housing for society members. They also submitted a legal opinion obtained from a former Registrar General of the Supreme Court and explained issues concerning GO MS No. 107 and its implementation.
Narayana assured them that the matter would be discussed with the concerned officials and taken forward. He said the government gives priority to journalists’ welfare and would work to resolve issues concerning their housing scheme. Society representatives expressed hope that the scheme would now move forward at the CRDA level.
