Telangana Rakshana Sena founder-president Kalvakuntla Kavitha led a rally in Hanamkonda on Monday, demanding the immediate release of pending fee reimbursement and scholarship dues for students.
The rally, organised with students under the leadership of TRS leader Nadipelli Venkateshwar Rao, began at the Ambedkar statue and proceeded towards the collectorate. Protesters paid floral tributes to Dr B.R. Ambedkar before staging a brief sit-in and submitting a memorandum to the collector.
Kavitha alleged that delays in fee reimbursement were causing severe hardship to students. She said many students who had completed degree and professional courses were unable to obtain their certificates because of pending fees, affecting their employment opportunities.
She urged the government to clear the dues without further delay and protect students’ futures. Kavitha also criticised proposed changes in intermediate education and the merger of polytechnic colleges with a skill university, demanding justice for affected students.
