A large number of devotees gathered at the Padagaya Kshetram in Pithapuram, Kakinada district, on the occasion of the fourth Friday of the holy month of Shravan. A mass Varalakshmi Vratham was organised at the temple, with many women devotees participating in the religious rituals.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan sent silk sarees as gifts for the women who took part in the special ceremony. The initiative was welcomed by the devotees, who expressed happiness and thanked the Deputy Chief Minister for the gesture.
According to the organisers, a total of 12,000 women devotees will receive silk sarees in five phases. The distribution programme is expected to benefit women participating in religious activities at the Padagaya Kshetram.
