Tollywood star Actor Vijay Deverakonda made striking comments about Bollywood’s current state during a recent interview. He acknowledged that Bollywood is facing challenges but expressed confidence that it will soon reclaim its former glory.
According to Vijay Deverakonda, South Indian cinema is now enjoying widespread recognition across the globe, thanks to the hard work and dedication of many people in the industry. He remarked that Northern audiences are increasingly showing interest in South Indian films, whereas, in the past, they lacked proper recognition in the Hindi-speaking belt.
Vijay further noted that Bollywood is currently experiencing a void, which he believes will be filled by new directors. However, he speculated that most of these promising filmmakers might not necessarily belong to Mumbai but could emerge from other regions.
He also pointed out that while Bollywood stars are struggling to deliver big hits, South Indian films are making a significant impact in the northern markets. Vijay Deverakonda’s comments come at a time when Bollywood is under scrutiny from its own industry insiders over its failure to produce remarkable films.
