Govt orders inquiry into former CID chief Sunil Kumar

Amaravati, Jan 18:
The Andhra Pradesh government has initiated an investigation into Sunil Kumar, who served as the CID chief during the previous administration. Allegations of power abuse have surfaced against him, prompting the coalition government to establish a special inquiry authority.

Two senior officials, Revenue Department Special Chief Secretary RP Sisodia and Vigilance DG Harish Kumar Gupta, have been appointed to lead the investigation. The government has directed the inquiry team to expedite the process and submit a detailed report on the allegations.
