CM Chandrababu Puts CM's Office Surveillance on Ministers' PAs, Targets Corruption

In a significant move to maintain the integrity of the government, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has implemented surveillance on the personal assistants (PAs) of state ministers. This decision comes in the wake of corruption allegations and improper practices associated with certain government officials. CM Naidu has made it clear that those who tarnish the reputation of the government by creating trouble for the public or fellow leaders will not be tolerated.

The surveillance focus initially hit Home Minister Anitha's PA, Jagadish, following accusations of illegal extortions, bribery, and unethical practices related to postings and transfers. Jagadish, who had been serving as Anitha's private PA for nearly ten years, faced serious allegations of engaging in corrupt activities after Anitha assumed her role. In light of these accusations, Jagadish has been removed from his position, with Anitha asserting that there is no place for those involved in corruption under her leadership.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that CM Naidu's office is also scrutinizing the private assistants of other ministers, particularly in North Andhra, Guntur, and Konaseema, with intelligence reports suggesting similar allegations of misconduct. The recent complaints during the "Praja Darbar" events from second-tier TDP leaders have apparently caught CM Naidu's attention, prompting this decisive action.

In a recent cabinet meeting, CM Naidu reportedly addressed the performance of the ministers, stating that he had detailed information about each minister's work. He warned some ministers indirectly to improve their performance and not engage in actions that could harm the government's reputation. Discussions in government circles suggest that this is only the beginning, with more potential actions and removals in the future to ensure accountability and transparency.

With the coalition government in power for over six months, CM Naidu is taking firm steps to safeguard the government's image and ensure that any corrupt or inefficient officials are weeded out.
