Good News for Hyderabad Metro Passengers
Metro services extended till 12 midnight
Beneficial for late-night commuters
Aimed at boosting daily ridership to 7 lakh
Hyderabad Metro passengers can now travel till 12 midnight, a change implemented from yesterday to enhance passenger convenience. This move aims to cater to those whose duties end late at night and long-distance travelers arriving in the city around midnight.
With an average of 5 lakh daily commuters, the Metro aims to increase this number to 7 lakh as part of efforts to overcome financial losses. Passenger demand for extended service hours had been ongoing for years, and this decision finally addresses that concern.
While the extended timings provide convenience, Metro authorities are also contemplating a fare hike to mitigate losses. The proposal is awaiting a government decision.
