In the wake of ongoing disputes over the Kancha Gachibowli land deal, heavy police deployment has been observed at the residences of prominent BRS leaders KTR (BRS working president) and Harish Rao (former minister). The police presence has prevented the leaders from leaving their homes amid rising tensions.

Additionally, significant police forces have been stationed at the Hyderabad Central University (HCU), where protests were taking place. Several leaders from CPM, CPI, and BJYM, including Chikoti Praveen, have been detained by the police and moved to various police stations across the city.
