Minister Manohar Congratulates Eluru Dist Administration for Successful Paddy Procurement Paddy Procurement in Eluru District Achieves Remarkable Success

Eluru district has achieved a significant milestone in Kharif paddy procurement, with a total of 3.59 lakh metric tons of paddy, worth ₹734 crores, successfully procured from local farmers. The procurement process has been hailed as excellent, with 96 percent of the farmers receiving their payments within 24 hours.
State Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar visited Eluru on Thursday to congratulate the district administration for its efficient efforts in the procurement. He praised the district’s performance, noting that the procurement exceeded the target of 3.40 lakh metric tons, with 49,022 farmers benefiting from the initiative. The total value of the procurement amounted to ₹733.91 crores, a commendable achievement.
Minister Nadendla Manohar expressed his appreciation for the hard work of the District Collector K. Vetriselvi and Joint Collector P. Dhatri Reddy, along with other officers and staff involved in the procurement process. He highlighted the collective effort that ensured the smooth execution of the program, noting that after four years, farmers in Eluru district were able to celebrate Sankranti with real joy, thanks to the timely and efficient procurement.
The Minister also mentioned that while the procurement was largely successful, there is still a need to purchase about 10,000 more metric tons of paddy, which will be acquired from the farmers at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).
On the same occasion, State Housing and Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy also extended his congratulations to the district administration for their excellent work. The success of this year’s paddy procurement has been recognized as a major achievement for the district, showcasing effective governance and support for the agricultural community.
