Reliance CBG plant foundation stone laid at Divakarapalli

Rs. 65 thousand crore investment by Reliance

Employment for 2.50 lakh people

GnhEy5IbkAAT-m9Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh laid the foundation stone for the Integrated Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant being established by Reliance New Energy near Divakarapalli village in PCpalli mandal, Kanigiri constituency, Prakasam district. Reliance Industries Director PMS Prasad, Reliance Industries Limited AP, TS Mentor PVL Madhav Rao, and Reliance Bioenergy CEO Harindra K. Tripathi performed the groundwork.

Reliance is setting up a CBG plant with a capacity of 100 tonnes on 475 acres at Divakarapalli, with an investment of Rs. 139 crore. This is the first of 500 CBG plants Reliance plans to establish across Andhra Pradesh with a total investment of Rs. 65 thousand crore, aimed at creating employment opportunities for 2.50 lakh people. One of the four CBG hubs Reliance is developing in the country is located in Prakasam district.

Minister Lokesh, accompanied by coalition representatives, TDP leaders, and activists, was welcomed with grandeur. Ministers Gottipati Ravikumar, Dola Balaveeranjaneyaswamy, CS K. Vijayanand, Collector A. Tamim Ansaria, various MLAs, MLC Kancharla Srikanth, and other dignitaries participated in the program.
