The prestigious Blue Flag status for Rushikonda Beach in Visakhapatnam has been officially restored. A jury from Blue Flag India recently inspected the beach and expressed satisfaction with its environmental, safety, and cleanliness standards. Blue Flag India’s National Operator, Dr. Srijit Kurup, confirmed the reinstatement of the certification through an official statement.
Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh responded positively to the development, expressing his happiness over the achievement. He stated that the government had fulfilled its commitment to restoring the Blue Flag recognition. “We worked relentlessly for this, and I congratulate the officials who played a key role in ensuring compliance with the required standards,” he said.
The minister extended his gratitude to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for their support in this endeavor. He also revealed that proposals have been submitted for securing Blue Flag recognition for additional beaches in Andhra Pradesh.
