MPTC and ZPTC election polling across Andhra Pradesh is progressing amid heavy rain, protests and political tensions. Election officials arranged 31,460 polling stations for approximately 2.61 crore voters across the state.

While several seats were already declared unanimous, voting is underway in the remaining constituencies.Tension was reported in several districts.

In Erripalle village of Pulivendula constituency, YSR Kadapa district, incidents involving petrol bombs and stone-pelting were reported near a polling station.

Disputes over polling agents also created tension in Parnapalle and Gundlakunta villages. Protests were reported in Nandyal district over alleged attacks on YSRCP agents. Clashes in Palnadu district reportedly left three people injured.

Incidents were also reported in parts of Vizianagaram and Anakapalli districts.Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu spoke with NDA leaders and urged party workers to maintain restraint and ensure peaceful polling. Meanwhile, the impact of Cyclone Murasu led to the postponement of polling in some mandals of Eluru and East Godavari districts.

Despite rainfall and waterlogging, voters continued to reach polling stations and exercise their franchise. Additional police personnel were deployed at sensitive locations to maintain law and order. Counting of votes is scheduled for November 7.
