Demands include promotions, electric buses, and allowance hike
RTC employees in Andhra Pradesh have announced protests beginning tomorrow, demanding the resolution of long-pending issues. As part of the agitation, they plan to wear red badges during their protests.
The employees are urging the government to implement Circular 1/2019 without suspensions or dismissals and to promptly address pending promotions. They are also demanding that electric buses be purchased either through the government or the RTC itself.
Additionally, they are seeking an increase in the night-out allowance from the current Rs 150 to Rs 400, highlighting the need for fair compensation for their work. The protests are expected to intensify if their demands are not addressed.
