I Will Follow What I Believe In, Says YS Jagan
Jagan meets local body representatives in Tadepalli
Reiterates commitment to values and credibility in politics
Criticizes TDP for alleged electoral irregularities
YCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy met with local body representatives at the party's central office in Tadepalli, where he congratulated them for bravely facing the coalition government's actions. Jagan expressed pride in their resilience and reiterated his commitment to values and credibility in politics, stating, “I will remain the same, and I hope the party will remain the same at all times. I will follow what I believe in.”
He commended the activists for their courage during the by-elections, noting that YSRCP secured 39 out of 50 seats. Jagan alleged that TDP lacks the numerical strength to win these seats and accused them of using intimidation tactics and manipulation during elections. He questioned whether TDP’s actions, including alleged irregularities in the Tirupati Municipal by-elections and no-confidence motion in Visakhapatnam, could be considered just or moral.
Highlighting the situation in Ramagiri, Jagan claimed that despite YSRCP winning nine out of ten MPTC seats, the elections were being obstructed by the police, even alleging the murder of BC leader Lingamayya.
He further criticized Chandrababu Naidu for attempting to manipulate results in Kuppam, stating that six MPTC members were lured away and nine others were prevented from voting. Jagan alleged that victory was declared by TDP without proper quorum.
Jagan assured the representatives that YSRCP would achieve an overwhelming majority in the future and pledged to stand firmly for the party workers, acknowledging that Covid had hindered his efforts to support them fully.
