'MAD Square' Entertains with Hilarious Fun and Energetic Performances
Sequel to the successful comedy film 'Mad'
Laddu Pelli episode stands out with hilarious fun
Energetic performances by lead actors add charm
‘MAD Square’, the sequel to the hit entertainer ‘Mad’, has hit the theaters with much anticipation. Directed by Kalyan Shankar, the movie attempts to recreate the fun factor of the original while introducing fresh humor and characters.
Story:
Laddu (Vishnu) secretly plans to get married, but his friends Damodar (Sangeet Shobhan), Ashok Kumar (Narne Nithin), and Manoj (Ram Nithin) crash the event, only for the bride to elope with someone else. To overcome the disappointment, the friends embark on a trip to Goa. There, they accidentally end up with a stolen locket, leading to a series of hilarious troubles involving Max (Sunil) and Shubhlekha Sudhakar.
Analysis:
The movie emphasizes entertainment over logic, with the director focusing on delivering humor through absurd situations and witty dialogues. While some scenes feel stretched or redundant, the film’s comedic moments manage to cover those flaws.
The first half revolves around Laddu’s wedding episode, which provides consistent laughs. The second half, although slower, picks up with engaging comedy and upbeat songs by Bheems Ceciroleo.
The absence of heroines and the youthful college setting that worked well in 'Mad' might disappoint some viewers. However, the shorter runtime of 2 hours and 7 minutes ensures a brisk pace, leaving little room for boredom.
Performances:
Narne Nithin, Ram Nithin, Sangeet Shobhan, and Vishnu impress with their energetic and lively performances. Sunil shines in a quirky role, showcasing his comedic timing. Supporting actors like Satyam Rajesh and Muralidhar Goud contribute well to the film’s humor.
Director Kalyan Shankar succeeds in delivering an entertaining film that doesn't demand logic or deep thinking. Those looking for a light-hearted, comedy-based entertainer will likely enjoy ‘MAD Square’.
