TPN , Vijayawada – Velampalli Srinivasa Rao, the in-charge of Vijayawada West, has vehemently criticized Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his remarks regarding the preparation of the Tirupati laddu, asserting that such comments diminish the sanctity of both the laddu and Lord Venkateswara.
Srinivasa Rao expressed disappointment over Naidu’s public statements, stating that a person in a leadership position should refrain from making baseless allegations and should instead take action against any wrongdoing. He described Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s remarks as not only disrespectful to the sacred prasadam but also to the traditions of Tirupati.
He emphasized that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s comments, particularly his past statements about the quality of ghee and ingredients used in the laddu preparation, contradict the certifications provided by TTD EO Shyamala Rao. “If Naidu truly had faith in Lord Venkateswara, he would not undermine His sanctity,” Rao remarked, calling Naidu unfit to hold office.
Rao also highlighted that Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has consistently respected the traditions of Tirupati, participating in rituals and ceremonies as invited by TTD officials over the past five years. He criticized the current coalition government for creating unnecessary hurdles for Reddy’s visits to Tirupati, alleging that it fuels divisions along caste and religious lines.
The minister stated that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s actions seem to be a deliberate attempt to deflect attention from his own mistakes while calling for a united response from the public against the coalition’s attempts to insult Hindu sentiments and traditions associated with Tirupati.
Rao concluded by urging the state’s people to remain vigilant against any attempts to tarnish the reputation of Lord Venkateswara and the sacred traditions of the temple, declaring that those who speak ill of the laddu will face repercussions in this life.
