Uttar Pradesh Transforms into ‘Uttam Pradesh’ Under PM Modi and CM Yogi, Says Vice President Dhankhar

TPN , Uttar Pradesh — Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar praised the transformative progress of Uttar Pradesh, stating it is evolving into ‘Uttam Pradesh’ thanks to the synergy between Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s execution. Speaking at the 2nd edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2024, Dhankhar emphasized the state’s role in India’s broader economic ambitions.

“Uttar Pradesh is transforming into Uttam Pradesh under the synergy between Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi. This collaboration is crucial for India’s journey toward becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047,” he noted.

Highlighting India’s economic potential, Dhankhar stated, “India is on track to become a $4 trillion economy with a robust 8% growth outlook.” He characterized the nation as a dynamic hub, with Uttar Pradesh leading various initiatives.

The Vice President pointed to significant infrastructure developments, including the addition of eight new airports each year, rapid Metro rail expansions, and daily highway construction of approximately 28 km. He also mentioned the establishment of 12 new industrial zones aimed at enhancing manufacturing capabilities and embracing emerging technologies like AI and semiconductors.

Dhankhar commended the advancements in digital infrastructure, noting India’s impressive connectivity with over 800 million broadband users and the second-largest metro network globally. “We also lead the world in digital financial transactions, recording 13 billion transactions per month,” he added.

Praising the semiconductor industry, he projected its growth to exceed $55 billion by 2026, reinforcing his belief that “this century belongs to Bharat.”

He lauded Yogi Adityanath’s leadership in improving law and order, which he stated is essential for fostering investment and democracy. “Law and order defines democracy, and CM Yogi exemplifies this principle,” Dhankhar remarked.

The Vice President also highlighted Vietnam’s role as the Partner Country at the trade show, describing the partnership as a pathway to enhance cultural and economic exchanges, thereby strengthening the Global South’s influence in international affairs.

In closing, Dhankhar expressed confidence that under Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, Uttar Pradesh will achieve its goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2027, significantly contributing to India’s aspiration of a $5 trillion economy.

The event also featured the presence of CM Yogi Adityanath, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and other dignitaries, marking a pivotal moment in the state’s economic journey.
