TPN, Andhra Pradesh: Following Union Minister Piyush Goyal’s recent criticisms of the YCP government during his meeting with TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, AP Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana has responded, urging Goyal to exercise caution in his statements.
Goyal had accused the YCP government of misappropriating funds from the Center and allowing corruption through sand, land, and liquor mafias. He also pointed out the lack of land allocation for the Visakhapatnam railway zone by the Jagan administration.
Minister Botsa emphasized the responsibility that comes with holding a ministerial position, stating that speaking without due consideration is not suitable. He called on Goyal to choose his words carefully going forward.
Additionally, Botsa questioned Goyal’s track record during his tenure as the railway minister in 2014, asking why a railway zone was not established then. He clarified that the YCP government has overcome obstacles and allocated 52 acres for the railway zone.
Botsa further queried the effectiveness of the central government, referring to it as a “single-engine” government from 2014 to 2019 and questioning the reasons for the apparent lack of progress during that period. He raised the slogan of “Botsa BJP’s double engine,” highlighting the need for both engines of governance to work effectively.
