TTD Denies Tobacco Packet Claims in Srivari Laddu Amid Ongoing Controversy

TPN , Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has responded firmly to recent social media claims suggesting that a tobacco packet was found in Srivari Laddu. This comes in the wake of ongoing discussions surrounding the alleged adulteration of the iconic Tirupati laddu.

TTD Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao emphasized the commitment and discipline with which the laddus are prepared, stating that Vaishnava Brahmins in the Potu (kitchen) of Tirumala take great care in their preparation. “There is no truth to the claims of tobacco being included in the laddus,” he asserted.

Rao further noted that the entire process of making the laddus is monitored by CCTV cameras, ensuring stringent adherence to quality and hygiene standards. He expressed concern over the damaging impact of such unfounded allegations, labeling them as painful to the integrity of the temple’s culinary practices.

The TTD’s response seeks to dispel the rumors circulating online, reaffirming the sanctity and purity of the revered Srivari Laddu.
