TPN , Tirupati : The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has categorically denied allegations that a piece of jerry was found in the Ann Prasadam (free meal) served to devotees. Responding to claims made by a devotee about the presence of jerry in the food served at Madhava Nalayam, TTD issued a statement calling these allegations baseless and misleading.
In its announcement, TTD emphasized that they prepare large quantities of Ann Prasadam to serve thousands of devotees who visit for darshan. It expressed surprise at the assertion that a piece of jerry could remain intact despite the high temperatures involved in cooking.
TTD explained the cooking process, noting that if curd is to be mixed with rice, the rice is heated thoroughly before adding the curd. The organization suggested that the claims were intentionally made to mislead and urged devotees not to fall for such false propaganda.
The TTD reiterated its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality for the benefit of all devotees.
