Telangana Government Files Caveat Petition in Supreme Court Over KTR's Case

In the Formula E car race case, Telangana Minister KTR received a setback from the Telangana High Court, which recently dismissed the petition filed by KTR to quash the ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau) case registered against him. The court ruled in favor of the government's arguments and also removed any interim orders, clarifying that they could not interfere in the ACB investigation.

In response to this, KTR consulted with legal experts at his residence regarding the next steps and decided to file a petition in the Supreme Court. The ACB has also issued a notice for KTR to appear before them for the investigation on January 16.

Anticipating KTR's move to approach the Supreme Court, the Telangana government preemptively filed a caveat petition in the Supreme Court. A caveat petition is a precautionary legal measure that allows the court to hear the government's side of the case before making a ruling, once KTR's petition is submitted. This legal move ensures that the Supreme Court will consider the government's arguments as well when the petition is filed, and both parties will be heard during the hearings.
