Group-1 Recruitment to Be Completed by March 31: Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad, Jan 5 — Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has reiterated his government's commitment to addressing the state's unemployment issue, announcing that the much-awaited recruitment for Group-1 posts will be completed by March 31. Speaking to the media, Reddy highlighted the significant strides made by his administration in filling job vacancies, particularly in government departments.
Record Job Creation in One Year
The Chief Minister proudly stated that the government has successfully filled 55,143 job vacancies within a year, a figure he called a "record achievement" in India. These jobs, he claimed, were the result of his government's efforts to tackle the long-standing backlog of vacancies that had accumulated over the past decade.
"We have not only filled 55,143 vacancies but have also taken decisive action to address long-pending job openings that were neglected by previous governments," Reddy remarked, emphasizing that the current administration is committed to fulfilling its promises to the youth of the state.
Overcoming Recruitment Challenges
Reddy further criticized previous administrations for their failure to recruit for Group-1 positions, stating that no recruitment had taken place for these prestigious roles in the last 14 years. He stressed that unlike previous governments, which never attempted to fill the 563 Group-1 vacancies in one go, his government has successfully conducted exams and is now in the final stages of completing the recruitment process.
"We have faced and overcome all the conspiracies that hindered Group-1 recruitment in the past. Our government has conducted the exams successfully, and I assure you that all the Group-1 vacancies will be filled by March 31," Reddy affirmed.
Call for Active Contribution from Telangana Officers
In addition to discussing recruitment, the Chief Minister called on Telangana cadre officers working at the central level to play a more active role in the state's development. He urged them to use their positions to contribute to the welfare of the state, ensuring that Telangana continues to progress in all areas, including governance, development, and public service.
Moving Forward
Reddy’s comments reflect his government's proactive approach to tackling the issue of unemployment, especially among youth, and emphasize the administration's commitment to transparency and accountability in the recruitment process. The completion of Group-1 recruitment by the end of March is seen as a key milestone in the government's efforts to address public sector vacancies and provide job opportunities for thousands of candidates.
As the process moves forward, the government’s focus will likely shift to ensuring that all recruitment exams and procedures are carried out smoothly and without delay, ensuring the timely induction of candidates into the various departments.
The announcement has been well received by the youth in the state, many of whom had long waited for these opportunities.
