TPN , Tirumala : The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Tirumala Laddu controversy continued its inquiry for the third consecutive day today, following the establishment of the team by the Andhra Pradesh government.
Today, SIT officials inspected the TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) flour mill and laboratory, assessing the facilities involved in the preparation of the famous Tirumala Laddu. They examined the storage warehouses and research centers in Tirumala, collecting samples of ghee from tankers that had arrived at the godowns. The officials inquired about the details of the quality testing equipment used in the lab and evaluated the quality of raw materials stored in the warehouses.
On the first day of the investigation, the SIT conducted crucial meetings, while on the second day, they held discussions with the TTD Executive Officer and other officials. The SIT, led by Guntur Range IG Sarvesh Tripathi, is divided into three teams to expedite the investigation process.
The ongoing inquiry aims to uncover the details surrounding the alleged adulteration in the preparation of the iconic Tirumala Laddu, which has raised concerns among devotees and the public.
