Rashmika Mandanna Apologizes for Mistake in Interview, Clears Confusion

Rashmika Mandanna, who has become a household name with her charm and acting skills, recently issued a public apology for a mix-up she made during an interview. The actress, fondly called the "National Crush," inadvertently misstated details about the Tamil film Ghilli, which led to playful teasing by her fans and netizens.

In the interview, Rashmika mentioned that Ghilli, starring Tamil actor Vijay, was the first film she watched in a theater. She also expressed her admiration for Vijay's work. However, she mistakenly claimed that Ghilli was a remake of the Telugu film Pokiri. In fact, Ghilli is a remake of the Telugu film Okkadu, while Pokiri was later remade in Tamil with the same title.

The clip from the interview quickly went viral, sparking a flurry of reactions on social media. Netizens were quick to point out the error, with many humorously teasing the actress for her mix-up.

Addressing the situation with her characteristic humor and humility, Rashmika took to "X" (formerly Twitter) to apologize. In a post written in Telugu, she acknowledged her mistake and clarified the confusion:

"Yes, I realized this after the interview was over… Sorry! ‘Ghilli’ is a remake of ‘Okkadu,’ while ‘Pokiri’ was remade in Tamil with the same title. By then, posts about my mistake were already viral on social media. Sorry, sorry… my bad! But I truly love all the movies they’ve acted in."

Despite the minor slip-up, Rashmika's response earned her praise for being lighthearted and graceful in accepting her mistake. Her fans appreciated her genuine apology and continued to support her as she remains one of the most beloved figures in the Indian film industry.

Meanwhile, Rashmika continues to ride high on the success of Pushpa: The Rule (Pushpa 2), which has already grossed over ₹1,500 crore worldwide, breaking numerous records, especially in Bollywood. She is also busy with several upcoming projects, including Chhava, Sikandar, The Girlfriend, and Kubera, keeping her schedule packed and exciting for her fans.
