Arkepuram, November 6: Former Minister and MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy has called on the Telangana government to fulfill its promises by providing gold along with financial assistance under the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes. Speaking during a program at the Sarurnagar Tehsildar’s office, where Kalyana Lakshmi cheques were handed over to beneficiaries from Arkepuram and Sarurnagar divisions, Sabitha Indra Reddy emphasized that the schemes were introduced with the intention of supporting the girl child.
She criticized the Congress government for failing to implement its six guarantees within the promised 100-day period, despite 11 months having passed since taking office. According to Reddy, the Congress party made lofty promises during the elections but has not lived up to them since assuming power.
The former minister also demanded that the government ensure transparency in the current caste census and suggested that CM Revanth Reddy’s proposed padayatra be taken from the Musi side of Hyderabad, rather than from Nalgonda.
