Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress party of betraying farmers in Telangana during a public meeting in Wardha, Maharashtra. He claimed that the party had promised loan waivers during elections but has failed to deliver, leaving farmers waiting for assistance.
Modi criticized Congress as the “most corrupt party,” linking it to the so-called “Tukde Tukde Gang” and Urban Naxals. He asserted that the current Congress does not reflect the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and is driven by a “demon of hatred.” He expressed concern that the party leaders are pursuing an anti-India agenda and lack a sense of patriotism.
He further lamented that Congress leaders are critical of the reservation system in America, showing a disconnect with their own party members. Modi labeled the Congress leadership as deeply corrupt, specifically highlighting their disdain for Hindu traditions, such as Ganapati Puja.
The Prime Minister recalled an incident in Karnataka where a Ganapati idol was jailed and transported in a police van, accusing Congress leaders in Maharashtra of ignoring such injustices. He urged the people of Maharashtra to remain vigilant against Congress, stating that they should not be given another chance, especially given their history of neglecting farmers’ needs.
