Pawan Kalyan Changed After Coming to Power – YS Sharmila

TPN, Andhra Pradesh: AP Congress President Y.S. Sharmila expressed her outrage at AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s comments on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during the Tirupati Varahi Sabha.

“Don’t think that your power will be forever,” Sharmila said, making it clear that Pawan’s comments targeting Rahul Gandhi in the Tirupati Sabha were baseless and unacceptable under any circumstances. She added that the Congress party condemns the involvement of Rahul Gandhi in what she termed Pawan’s “religious politics.” Sharmila also demanded an unconditional apology from Pawan Kalyan to Rahul Gandhi.

“After coming to power, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s dress and language have both changed. Has the Jana Sena, which was once a secular party, now turned into a right-wing party? While holding a responsible position, wearing the attire of one religion and emphasizing that religion as important—does this not make you feel insecure about other religions? Are there no other religions involved in elections? Don’t people of other religions vote? Don’t they have feelings?”

Sharmila went on to say, “If the ideology of the RSS is to politicize religion, then Pawan Kalyan has become a double agent for that ideology. Acting under PM Modi’s direction, you have no moral ground to speak about Rahul Gandhi.”

She continued, “Wasn’t it the BJP that was responsible for the massacres in Godhra and Manipur? How can you expect people to believe that such a party stands for secularism? Rahul Gandhi walked thousands of kilometers to promote love, equality, and brotherhood in the country. It is not appropriate to make such comments about a person like him—don’t lower yourself to that level,” Sharmila clarified.
